S.N.V. FunFest at Newport News King Lincoln Park
The headliner for our FunFest was Mr. Marcus Young an R&B and Jazz Artist. S.N.V., Inc. Summer Food Program Power Panther taught kids about eating nutritious foods and daily exercise routines, The Lions Club gave FREE eye screening for children and Riverside Hosp. provided FREE health screening for children and AMA (Aspiring Minds School Of The Arts) performed skits on stage for their Performing Arts Program.
SNV Inc.’s 5th Annual Awareness FunFest Event at Hampton Buckroe Beach was AWESOME. We had some amazing entertainment. Our The headliner for the event was 17yr old Manny DelValle a young R&B/Pop artist from Philadelphia with his latest single “LIKE YESTERDAY” along with other great local artists such as Osmosis, Halau Kahalani (Polynesian Dance Group), Blue Ridge Country Band, and SOG Gospel Band group performed.
"Saving Our Youth"
On March 3, 2012, SNC, Inc. held their “Saving Our Youth” Event dedicated to the youth in our communities speaking on issues that are destroying our children such as: Gang Violence, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Bullying, Suicide, Sexual Abuse, Homelessness, Incarceration, etc. They had a youth empowering youth by showcasing their talent during this powerful event.
"Out Of The Mouth's Of Babes"
On March 25, 2012, SNV, Inc. held "Out Of The Mouths Of Babes” was a Gospel and Praise Event that will featured our spiritually blessed and talented children who God has truly given a calling to perform at an early age. Gospel singing, Praise Dancing, spoken word and much more were performed by our children.
Take Back The Night
On April 28, 2012, SNV, Inc. lead a group of supporters and advocates for the candlelight march to help survivors know that they are not alone and we will not tolerate nor allow these crimes to go silent into the night.
An evening of praise to benefit PACAM
The community came out to
enjoy an evening of Gospel singing, Praise Dancing, Spoken Word and dinner with the Performing Arts Center of Aspiring Minds.
2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Community Feast
S.N.V. held their annual community Thanksgiving feast in partnership with Molding Minds and the Boys & Girls Club. They provided dinner and clothing for those less fortunate in our community.
“Ain’t No Road Like The Yellow Brick Road” Production
S.N.V., Inc.’s Performing Arts of Aspiring Minds Program (P.A.M.M.) worked tirelessly to get the opportunity to perform the production remake of the WIZ titled “Ain’t No Road Like The Yellow Brick Road”. *The Musical*. Some of our kids have experienced serious abuses and this was their time to express themselves and shine.
Alvin Keels Birthday Bash with part of proceeds going to S.N.V, Inc.
The Big Birthday Bash party celebration for Alvin Keels and actress Karen White (Lean On Me, Cosby, Malcolm And Eddie, Different World, etc.) To benefit the S.N.V. Organization Survivors Not Victims of sexual child abuse.
S.N.V. provided FREE Summer Meals For Kids
S.N.V. provided free meals for children during the summer vacation, Monday - Friday at various site locations through out Newport News.

S.N.V. 4th Annual Free Community Sexual Abuse Awareness Fun Fest
S.N.V. held their 4th Annual Free Community Sexual Abuse Awareness Fun Fest on August 13th from 12noon til 7:00pm; with performances by Reggae band “United Souls Band” and, comedian Herman Hurston, a detective to speak on sexual abuse issues and statistics. Pastor/gospel singer Ronzel Pretlow, Comedian Debbie Chibar, BFA Dance Troupe, World Wind of Fire, Special Guest appearance by former Cardinals Football player Mr. Elton Brown and last but not least the featured performers who are former and active members of George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelics “Let The Monkey Go”.
S.N.V., Inc. presented The Return of the Brides of Funkenstein
The original mainstay Brides of Funkenstein member Dawn Silva- Parlet’s Jeanette Washington-Perkins – and renowned singer-songwriter, Sue Ann Carwell- stand together on center stage! The only true and original female funk band performed a fundraising concert. The concert took place at the The Mercury Entertainment Center, 227 E Mercury Blvd., Hampton, Va.
S.N.V., Inc. Fundraisier Event
S.N.V. Inc. held a Fundraising Event event on Wed, March 23rd at Chic-Fil-A. Based on purchases, customers took their receipts to S.N.V. before leaving the restaurant and Chick-fil-A donated back to S.N.V.
S.N.V., Free Community Clothing Event
S.N.V., Inc. and Molding Minds Organization collaborated together on providing free clothing to the communities of Hampton, VA and Newport News, VA. Clothing will be provided for men, women and children of all sizes and ages as well as providing free bread to all those that are in need.
S.N.V., Free Community Clothing Event
On Sat., Jan. 8, 2011, S.N.V., Inc. & Molding Minds Organization collaborated together on providing free clothing to the communities of Hampton and Newport News, VA. S.N.V. and Molding Minds provided clothing to over 320 citizens from homeless. Saturday January 15, 2011 at St Timothy’s Christian Church, S.N.V. and Moldings came together again to provide services to over 200 people.
S.N.V. Rebirth & Business Networking Gala
On Thursday, January 13, 2010, S.N.V. held their Rebirth & Business Networking Gala at their headquarters in Hampton, Va. Hampton Roads LIVE was on hand to provide event coverage and interviews to local business owners and community partners of S.N.V. Attendees were treated to delicious cuisine, music and entertainment while learning more about the positive work S.N.V. is doing in the community.
S.N.V., Inc. Hosts 1st Annual Feeding the Homeless Thanksgiving
S.N.V., Inc. held their 1st Annual Feeding the Homeless in our Community event on Nov. 23rd, 2010 at the S.N.V. headquarters in Hampton, Va. Over 325 homeless and poverty stricken citizens enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving feast provided by S.N.V. Some men, women and children even received free haircuts. Read more l review images

S.N.V.’s goal was to protect the children in the community by providing a safe, fun and secure environment, which was worry free for parents on a night that can be harmful to our children. The Production Of One
On Oct. 17, 2010, S.N.V., Inc.’s partnered with BFA (BEAUTY FOR ASHES) in order to bring more awareness to the problems that sexual abuse and other factors that can affect our relationships through Artistic means. The production was also concluded with a performance with members of the original legendary 70’s band the Funkadelic’s.
The production “From Victim to Survivor”
On March 14, 2010, S.N.V., Inc. presented the production “From Victim to Survivor” which was based on a young lady who was a victim of sexual abuse and how being a victim effected her life in her job, relationships and family. It was written by Ms Rachel S. Thomas. There were approx. 150 in attendance.
3rd Annual Community Awareness Fun Fest
S.N.V., Inc.’s 3rd Annual Community Awareness Fun Fest held Saturday, June 13th at King Lincoln Park in Newport News with over 500 attendees and Sunday, June 14th 2010 at Buckroe Beach in Hampton with over 1,000 attendees.
Domestic Violence Awareness (Clothesline Project at the YWCA)
S.N.V., Inc.’s founder Veronica Thomas was asked to be a guest speaker at the Virginia Peninsula YMCA. Ms. Thomas was asked to speak about the awareness and effects of sexual abuse. During the event, participants made t-shirts to display for Domestic Violence Month.
