Division I: Sexual Abuse Awareness and Support
This division is a sexual abuse awareness and support organization where we counsel and support victims of sexual abuse by helping them to become survivors instead of remaining victims of sexual abuse.

If you were sexually abused at some point in your life, whether it happened recently or happened years ago, something precious was taken from you. It has affected your life drastically. Sometimes you may feel insignificant and degraded, never to be normal again. The abuse haunts you, you can’t sleep, you have nightmares, waking up and going to sleep with the memory of the assault. It affects your relationship with your family and your friends.

Regardless of how long ago you were abused, it still affects your life considerably. Whether it’s sexually, emotionally or spiritually; your life just can’t seem to get back on the right track. Friends and family just don’t understand what you’re enduring.

For some, you try to act as if it doesn’t bother you at all. You’re determined that it won’t. Life will be the same. You laugh, you play, and you go to work and do your job as expected. You go out, and even try to enjoy life. You’ve moved on. But, it’s still there, in the back of your mind never completely going away, because it won’t. You make every effort not to acknowledge it. Will ignoring the abuse be enough to make what has happen to you seem as if it did not happen at all?

If all this sounds familiar to you, then you are invited to come and join other survivors who share your experience and understand your pain. The president of this support Service S.NV. Inc., Survivors Not Victims is also a survivor of Childhood sexual abuse. She knows first-hand and up-close exactly what you’re going through because she has been a victim as well. She is now a survivor.

S.N.V., Inc., counselors facilitates support groups every other Saturday from 6pm-9pm. For more information please give us a call. If you’re interested in getting your life back, Please leave a message and a contact number. Call to see when our next support group meeting will be.

Division II: Performing Arts and Mentoring Program
Our Performing Arts and Mentoring Program, where we teach children preventative and awareness measures of situations they may find themselves in such as sexual abuse, peer pressure, gang violence, online predators and much more. We teach them through the art of theatre where they learn how to be aware, how to prevent, how to recognize situations they face on a daily basis. It is our goal to empower our children through theatre and art to be aware and know how to respond to certain situations that could endanger them. Although it’s learned in a fun environment but the techniques learned could eventually save their lives. Download flyer now!

Division III: After School and Summer Feeding Program
Through the USDA and the State of Virginia S.N.V., Inc. are sponsors that provides thousands of meals a day for kids & teens, free meals for the summer and after school pm snacks. Cost is free and food is nutritious. We realize that unfortunately there are children that are in low to moderate income families that receive reduced or free lunches will only eat during the school day and may not see another meal until the following school day. S.N.V. is a sponsor that provides free meals to sites that offers an after school program for children. We prepare, and deliver food to these locations and also provide the paper products needed such as paper plates, utensils, cups, aprons, trash bags etc… that are needed in order to feed the children. S.N.V. goes above and beyond when it comes to feeding our children. We do not do paper bag lunches. We provide hot meals that stick to our children’s stomach such as Franks & beans, hotdog's, Spaghetti, Chicken & Tuna Salad, Beef & Macaroni, Jambalaya, Beef & Vegetables etc… We still believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Most of our sites are located in Newport News, but we have also serviced Hampton and Franklin, VA, if you would like to know more information about these sites for your children to eat free nutritious food daily, please contact our office at 757-251-2441.
